HOUSTON CHAPTER HISTORY
The Houston Chapter of the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vine was chartered in 1978 by the national organization which is located in Santa Rosa, California.  During our many years, we have enjoyed camaraderie with members of our own chapter as well as friends from other chapters across the United States ... from the Nation's Capital Chapter in Washington, DC to the Gulf Coast Chapter in the Biloxi, Mississippi area to the Monterey Chapter in the Monterey/Carmel area of California ... and all the chapters in between.

There have been wine tastings and wine dinners with guest winemakers sharing the fruit of their labors.  There have been trips to local wineries and vineyards and conferences from Napa to Barcelona organized by our international association which is headquartered in Paris, France.

We have friends around the world ... all sharing a passion for wine!

Another passion is our commitment to helping in the area of education.  To that end, we have supported the Texas A & M Viticulture Department and student scholarships with funds to assist them with internships in places like Australia, Italy, France and Spain.  In 2011 the Houston Chapter established the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Vine Endowment Fund at the Conrad Hilton College of Hospitality and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston to be used exclusively to provide scholarships to deserving students.

Our history is dynamic and our members are enthusiastic.... and we're just getting started!
